While it lasts

Seasonal Produce

Some things we can only make when the produce is right. When a batch is gone, it is gone until next season.

Why we work this way

Fresh herbs and produce have a season. Basil is at its best when it is warm; other things want the cold. Rather than reach for something imported or frozen so a product is always on the shelf, we make it while the produce is good and stop when it is not.

That is the trade-off of small batch: what you get is better, and sometimes you have to wait for it.

What this means when you order

  • Batches are limited. Some products sell out between runs.
  • If something is out of stock, it is usually because we are waiting on produce rather than because we stopped making it.
  • Ask us when the next batch is due — we are happy to say.

Alongside the everyday range, we make small batches of seasonal jams, chutneys, sauces and other handcrafted treats, depending on which fresh fruit and produce are available at the time. They appear when the produce does. Email kleinbeginpesto@gmail.com to ask what is coming up.
